The Sage in Bloom


This week the barrel planter that held last summer’s herb garden gave a homesick Texan a little treat. My sage bloomed. I wanted to let it completely bloom and go to seed, but the sage looks really nice this year, and I’ll want a little of that for some roast chicken soon. In the fall I’m going to make some cranberry sage compote. I’ll post the recipe with pictures then. . .
